In live sport there are times when an official cannot see or properly make a decisive call regarding a penalty or deduction.  It is our ideal to staff our events properly so that in most cases, all potential deductions or penalties are recorded and thus we offer this process for review.

In most cases you will receive an email with your deduction sheet outlining any deductions as well as ranges for difficulty if your division is scored with ranges.  You should receive this email approximately 10 minutes after your performance.

It is your responsibility to have your device properly connected to a network so that you can receive these emails.  At most events, we will have a BCA Coach Network set up near Coach Corner for you to use to connect.

We will use the email on file on RegChamp to communicate these documents.  You can add additional coach emails to teams so that a specific coach will receive these emails.  Let us know if you need assistance with this step on RegChamp.

If your team receives a point deduction or you were not placed int the correct scoring range or did not receive the correct Capped Score, you will have the opportunity to review your routine by official BCA video as well as other resources if available.  You will have 15 minutes from the time the email was sent to you by the BCA Staff to complete the process.

If, upon review of your own routine, you would like to seek further clarification on a range, deduction or safety infraction, you will need to complete the “Clarification Form, available at Coach corner.

This form will need to be received no later than 15 minutes from the time you received your Scoring Report Email.

The scoring director will then review the routine entirely, and if additional deductions are discovered, they will be applied to the current scores.

If the original range/deduction/safety violations were deemed “unnecessary” or incorrect, you will be advised by a second email with the adjustments.

If your clarification was deemed to not have any changes, no additional emails will be sent.

It is our goal to maintain a system in place that is fair to all as well as informative when necessary.  Providing coaches with the proper information and tools to assist in the “clarification” process.
