What to expect on site

Bag Checks:

All bags are subject to security checks upon entry. This usually involves a physical inspection of the bag's contents by security staff.

Bag Size Restrictions:

Most of the BCA venues restrict the size of bags allowed into the venue. Typically, only 1 athlete backpack is permitted per person.

Larger bags, including holdalls, and suitcases, are generally not allowed and may need to be stored in designated cloakrooms or left outside the venue.

Prohibited Items:

Certain items are commonly prohibited, including weapons, sharp objects, fireworks, illegal substances, alcohol, and large umbrellas.

Professional cameras and recording equipment are not permitted (ie. professional lens) unless a pre-agreed media pass has been allocated.

Filming and Photography:

All routines are filmed and shared with the coach via their smug mug account and professional photos will be captured during the routine by the BCA. Phone cameras are permitted during your athletes / programme performances only.

Unreserved seating:

All our events have unreserved seating available on a first come first serve basis. We ask you to refrain from storing bags on seats to save space as most of our events will sell out and all seats required for other attendees.

How will the day flow

We want the day to be a fun-filled and exciting experience for athletes, coaches and spectators. Please familiarise yourself with the running order, warm up and award times in advance of attending the event for optimal planning.

We’d hate for you to miss an award or part of your warmup due to not being aware of where you may be needed.

Warm-Up

As a rule of thumb, the team warm up slot is scheduled 30-40 minutes before the performance time.

This allows time to;

  • Check the team in
  • Stretch and warm up
  • Rep some skills
  • Music run of the routine

If there are crossovers within your programme, please communicate the warm-up times clearly to your athletes to ensure this time slot is not missed.

Running order

The running order is available for the competition via https://bca.li/ro

(please note, this link will be the same for every competition and only the next competition will be presented ie. If Super Classic is in January, and Winter Weekender is in December, but Winter Weekender hasn’t yet taken place, the link will show the Winter Weekender running order)

The running order is subject to change on the day.

Awards

The awards will take place in a different hall as the performance (unless specified on the running order).

There will be a number of awards throughout the day for the most recent divisions, including Level Champs. Please make note of the award times and also any warm-up timeslots that may clash.

Grand Champions and Specialty awards will be announced in the last awards session of the day for both cheer and dance.

  • Phenomenal Performance
  • Innovative Choreograph
  • Division High Point Champion

Services Available

There will be catering points open throughout the venue.

The main coffee shop in Floral Hall will sell hot & cold food and hot & cold drinks.

A note from the directors

We are thrilled to be leading the BCA through this exciting period of industry growth. Seeing how UK Cheer and Dance has grown from strength to strength over the past 10 years has been incredible for the sport and all the athletes. As the first original event producer in the UK, we take pride in how we support the Cheer and Dance community as it transitions to becoming a recognised sport. We have built a valued network of coaches, athletes and supporters and will continue to do everything we can to maintain the strength of these connections, to deliver first-class training and events annually. We aim to empower athletes of all ages and abilities to reach new heights and we are extremely excited to continue to do this as we head into our 41st season, with bigger events, more teams, more athletes, more routines, more growth, and hopefully more partners to join us at this exciting time. Let’s go BCA, let’s go!
