BCA Training - A look back on last season..

bcappsmWith the introduction of Tez Shackleton as Training Manager, Last Season saw some great expansion within the BCA training programme.

 

Private Camps Held

The following Squads held their own cheer camps with great success, which was shown in their routines at last seasons' BCA competitions:

  • Maryport Bluestars (Maryport, Cumbria)
  • Blue Flames (Bristol)
  • Pedmore Panthers (Dudley, West Midlands)
  • Queni Dynamos (Queniborough, Leicester)
  • Cheer Zone (Huddersfield)
  • Streetz (Salisbury, Wiltshire)

Regional Camps Held

These are camps that anyone can book onto and are held at various locations across the UK.

  • Redhill (Surrey) – Over 100 cheerleaders/coaches attended our annual 3 day cheer camp led by Collegiate Athletes and Americheer Staff from the USA.
  • Leeds Camp (Yorkshire) – 60 athletes and coaches attended the first Yorkshire camp run by the BCA. Led by the highly experienced Aviator Allstars Coaches the amount of progression and improvement over the 3 days was very impressive.

The following schools have all had coaches come along to hold cheerleading classes either as one day sessions or full term time classes:

  • Friars School (Northamptonshire)
  • Hitchin Girls School (Hertfordshire)
  • Brigg Infant School (Derbyshire)
  • Caulsden School (Surrey)

NCSSE Courses Held

Over the last 7 months, 6 NCSSE courses have been held across the UK with an average of 35 coaches booked onto each course.

USASF Credentialing

Over 30 of our BCA registered Coaches from the squads listed below have all passed USASF credentialing exams in the last 6 months, whether it be levels 1-2 or the higher levels 3-5.. WELL DONE TO ALL!!

PGL Residential Camp

Why not get involved with a residential camp in association with PGL and combine a full weekend of cheerleading with outdoor activities such as canoeing, rock climbing and high ropes!

Dates for 2013 are:

  • Marchants Hill (Surrey) – 2nd-3rd March 2013 and 12th-13th October 2013
  • Windmill Hill (Sussex) – 16th-17th March 2013
  • Boreatton Park (Shropshire) – 23rd-24th March 2013 and 21st-22nd September 2013
  • Caythorpe Court (Lincolnshire) – 14th-15th September 2013
