The British Cheerleading Association is the national governing body for Cheerleading
in Britain. BCA is a member of the Central Council of Physical Recreation.
As of 5 March 2007 current auditable paid BCA membership stands at 391 clubs, comprising of 14,372 participants.
BCA is a non-profitmaking voluntary committee based
organisation, dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Cheerleading
as a respected athletic discipline and sport. It's aim is to encourage mutual
co-operation and communication between squads to enable each to realise their
own potential through the help and friendship of all.
BCA organises national and interntional events, hosts
camps clinics and competitions, plus provides a central resource of cheerleading
information and assistance. National safety guidelines and competition rules
are maintained to current US standards. We are not a business, and do not
sell merchandise. We neither advertise, nor recruit. BCA is run by cheerleaders,
for cheerleaders.
There are currently almost 400 clubs in Britain,
Almost all are amateur self funded independent groups,
supporting their local communitities and events.

Magazine
is now approaching it's tenth year of print, distributed
to squads and sports organisations in thirteen countries. We welcome news,
squad features, plus details of any camps clinics or other cheer events around
Europe.
